FAQs

What is included in the WHLICKS standing transfer aid and electric seat lift bundle?

This bundle includes one black manual sit-to-stand transfer aid with a standard fixed-width base and one gray electric seat lift cushion with a wireless remote. The standing aid provides handrails, padded shin supports, and split seating for assisted transfers. The powered cushion is placed on a compatible chair or sofa to assist with rising from a seated position. These are two separate devices used for different tasks.

What is the difference between the standing transfer aid and the electric seat lift cushion?

The standing transfer aid supports assisted movement between compatible seating surfaces. It operates manually and requires the user to participate in standing. The electric seat lift cushion stays on a compatible chair or sofa and tilts upward by up to 25° to assist with getting up. The cushion does not transport the user between seats, and the standing aid does not provide powered lifting.

What is the weight capacity of the WHLICKS chair lift assist?

The WHLICKS electric chair lift assist has a maximum weight capacity of 265 lbs. Check the product’s stated capacity before use, and make sure the combined setup—including the seat lift and the chair or sofa—is positioned according to the instructions.

Who is this bundle suitable for?

This bundle may suit a household that needs both assisted standing transfers and powered help with rising from a chair. Suitability depends on the user’s weight, ability to participate, seated balance, body fit, and available assistance. Someone who cannot bear weight or actively participate in standing should not assume the manual transfer aid is appropriate. Review both devices’ instructions and seek an individual assessment if the user’s abilities are uncertain.

Can the electric seat lift cushion be used on any chair or sofa?

No. The electric cushion requires a stable, compatible seating surface and may not fit every chair or sofa. Its seating area measures 16.33 × 17.12 inches, but those measurements alone do not establish compatibility. Check the product’s full placement requirements, the supporting furniture’s dimensions and load rating, and whether the cushion can be positioned securely according to its instructions.

What are the weight limits, and can the same person use both devices?

The manual standing transfer aid has a maximum user weight of 400 lbs, while the electric seat lift cushion has a maximum user weight of 265 lbs. A person using both devices must weigh no more than 265 lbs and meet each device’s other fitting and use requirements. The two capacities apply separately; they cannot be added together.
