FAQs

What is included in the sit-to-stand lift and electric floor lift chair bundle?

The WHLICKS bundle includes one blue manual sit-to-stand lift with a standard fixed-width base and one brown electric floor lift chair. The standing transfer aid includes handrails, padded shin supports, and split seating. The floor lift chair includes a padded seat and backrest, rechargeable power, and a two-button remote control.

What is the difference between a sit-to-stand lift and an electric floor lift chair?

A sit-to-stand lift provides support during assisted standing and transfers between compatible seating surfaces. An electric floor lift chair raises a seated user from a low position using powered height adjustment. In this bundle, the standing aid operates manually, while the floor lift chair uses a remote-controlled lifting mechanism. The two devices serve different tasks.

Can the sit-to-stand lift pick someone up from the floor?

The manual sit-to-stand lift is not designed to pick someone up directly from the floor. The electric floor lift chair provides the bundle’s low-position lifting function, with a seat that adjusts from 2.4 to 20.2 inches. The user must first be positioned on the seat according to the product instructions; the chair does not automatically move someone from the floor onto its seat.

What are the weight limits for the standing lift and floor lift chair?

The sit-to-stand lift supports a maximum user weight of 400 lbs. The electric floor lift chair supports a maximum user weight of 330 lbs. These limits apply separately and cannot be added together. A person using both devices must meet the lower 330 lb limit, as well as each device’s other fit and use requirements.

Can one caregiver operate the transfer lift and floor lift chair?

The number of caregivers required depends on the user’s ability to participate, positioning needs, the surrounding space, and each device’s instructions. The manual standing aid requires active user participation. Remote control on the electric floor lift chair controls seat movement; it does not remove the need for assistance with positioning or transfers. Do not assume either device is suitable for one-person assistance in every situation.

How do I check whether the lift bundle will fit my home?

Before ordering, confirm the intended tasks, user weight, ability to participate in standing transfers, seat fit, home measurements, and available assistance. The bundle combines two different aids rather than one device that performs every lifting task. Review the individual product instructions and contact WHLICKS with product-fit questions before purchasing.
