WHLICKS Telescopic Ramp – Adjustable 4–8 ft, Foldable, 600 lb Capacity

I’d like to start off by saying that having a portable ramp is a godsend when you care for somebody who uses a wheelchair. Any ramp that is easy to move around makes life much easier. I was excited to see this option because it allows a flexible length through a telescopic mechanism. My wife uses a wheelchair all the time went outside and we frequently encounter the need to get up and down stairs to get into homes. Having something like this really makes her feel less constructed. I appreciate that the manufacturer worked hard to make this as portable as possible. It comes in a very high-quality heavy duty, nylon and canvas type bag. Is reinforced in the corner with the heavy duty zipper and it’s very easy to set the two ramp tracks in it and zip it up. Weight is Over 15 pounds, but all things considered that’s pretty reasonable. It has both handles and a strap for shoulder carrying. The rap itself is made of industrial great heavy duty aluminum. I can’t falt the quality: it’s very good. Manufacturing tolerances are very tight and the Friction material laid down in the center of the track appears heavy duty and well adhered to the aluminum. There are a couple of nice touches, including the use of the same friction material on the underside of the front and bottom lip. This helps increase friction and prevent the ramp from sliding left or right under the weight of the wheelchair. Plastic guides on the front and top lip help to control the direction of the wheels went on the ramp, these could have been made from aluminum but are made of heavy duty resin plastic. To go from removing them from the bag and placing them doesn’t take more than about 30 seconds. I have been successful in getting my wife up as many as four standard steps. That’s probably about a 15 or 20° angle. Anything more than that it is probably not going to be safe. Their best use is for a two or three step incline usually at the front of the house. Repackaging the ramps after completion takes a little bit longer. As nice as the friction material is, it tends to resist sliding when trying to couple the ramps together or place them back in the bag. Pros and cons I guess. Highly recommended.

This ramp with Storage Bag is super portable and sets up in no time. It’s lightweight but surprisingly strong too! My son weighs 210 lbs, and it supports him in his wheelchair perfectly – no issues at all. Highly recommend!

Worked well to get my dad out of the house

My husband uses a wheelchair, and we have a van, these ramps are so easy to use! It’s lightweight, so I can carry them around effortlessly. When fully extended, I can easily push his open wheelchair into the back of the van. The telescoping design is a game-changer for saving space too. I can walk between the two ramps more easily instead of navigating a single wide ramp to get into the van. We also telescope them down to use when visiting others, helping him get in and out of different houses smoothly. They work perfectly for high door thresholds, no more struggling with tricky entries. Such a practical buy for our daily needs!

One of the best things about the aluminum material is that it should hold up well against harsh weather, it’s way lighter than steel or thick plywood. I also really love the non-slip surface on it; it gives me so much more peace of mind when using it.
