This Lift Chair is ideal if you live with someone who is unsteady on their feet. Usually the person helping the fall victim up also gets injured so this is a game changer. This chair is pretty heavy but has wheels and can be moved around very easily. It basically slides underneath somebody who has fallen onto the ground and can be lifted from the ground all the way up to a seated position. Seems to have good support and is comfortable, also includes a seatbelt. If you are always having to call the paramedics to help with Falls I highly recommend this Lift Chair.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten my husband off the floor with this lift chair!! He had a stroke and try’s walking without assistance. Easy to use and the battery life is very long lasting.

My 87 year old, 280+ pounds, out-of-shape and Type 2 diabetic mother lives in my downstairs in-law apartment, and I bought this lift several months ago after my wife and I struggled to get mom on her feet last time she fell. Well, last night she fell again, and we took the lift out of the box and easily set it up and lined it up behind her butt. It was challenging to get the chair under her butt, and two people are definitely needed: one to pull the victim’s arms forward to clear the seat, and the other to push the chair under the raised butt. We got her on it, fastened the seatbelt (probably could be a few inches longer for obese people), and easily lifted her to a high-enough position to assist her back up to stand on her own. Absolutely essential product! As for my mother, I strongly recommend staying away from sugar and all the crap too many people eat, even though she’s 87. (Maybe if I make it to 80, I’ll eat ice cream, pastries, pasta, candy, pizza, . . . again.)

This chair is the best option I could find as an aid if and when my wife or I fall. We are both in our 80s and picking each other up is not an option. On the other hand, I did not want some plastic contraption that might become part of the problem vs solution. The specs say this thing weighs 58 lbs. That is not light weight, but it is manageable. If you want something sturdy enough to depend on, heavier is better. This thing is solidly constructed.

The user can scoot onto the base like doing a bridge to move onto the unit and operate the lift to get you to a good seated position
