This sliding shower chair was a lifesaver after hip replacement surgery!

I bought this sliding shower seat to help care for my aunt after her hip replacement surgery, and it honestly was one of the most helpful things we couldve had during her recovery. It made getting her in and out of the tub so much safer and easier for both of us. The seat swivels with a one touch button and slides smoothly, which meant less strain on her and less worry for me while helping her with personal care. I didn't worry about her falling off the seat since it has handles to steady herself. This seat is incredibly sturdy and the 450 lb weight limit gave us peace of mind. It really does feel solid and well built unlike some of the previous ones we've tried that have a hollow plastic seat. The frame is made of aluminum, so no rusting even though it gets wet daily in the shower. The padded seat is comfortable and easy to clean, and it was quick to assemble right out of the box. I think it took me less than 15 minutes all together. If youre caring for someone with limited mobility or recovering from surgery I cant recommend this enough. It gave us both more confidence and independence during an already stressful time when caring for her after surgery.

Replacement Feet for Shower Chair Bath Seat

After installing these non-slip suction cup replacements in lieu of the worn-out feet on the shower chair that my elderly parents use, our bathroom routine became immediately safer and much less stressful. Earlier, the original feet had been less able to maintain their grip over time, which resulted in the chair shifting abruptly on wet floors whenever someone tried to sit or stand using it. The whole seat felt secure as soon as I snapped these new rubber suction cups into place; there was no longer any sliding or perilous tilting, even from the weight of an adult stepping on or off the bench. It was as simple as twisting out each old foot, pressing in the new suction cup until I heard a gratifying click, and then testing the seal by pushing down forcefully. All of this was done without removing the whole frame. A little under five minutes later, each of the four feet was securely fastened in place. Simply said, this basic change meant that there was no need for specialized equipment or elaborate instructions; it was simply a quick update that significantly increased stability. After they had lowered themselves into the cushioned seat, there was no rearward movement or uneasiness about the position of the chair they were sitting in. The gadget, on the other hand, remained unmoved from its original position, therefore establishing a stable and reliable foundation. Because of this newly discovered instability, the shower went from being a usual experience to being an agony that was marked by caution and doubt. Now, members of the family are able to help with complete assurance that the chair will not move when they step on it.

Works well

I really like this shower chair seat! It is super stable, even when I apply pressure! I was worried about it slipping around, but it is staying put. The adjustability makes this a big win for us!

Game changer! Stable and safe, I highly recommend

Easy assembly, quality parts, very stable bench, works exactly as designed. This is a game changer for my wheelchair bound 1 leg mom. She loves it. There is absolutely no comparison to her previous shower bench. The swivel seat is amazing, she rolls right up to the bench and transfers easily to the seat, then slides down closer to the faucet handles and swivels around to face the shower head and faucet. We had a little trouble with care staff understanding how the bench worked, they pushed it flush with shower wall and that doesn't work, you must have room to swivel the seat and slide the seat forward. A little training for care staff, they move everything around in her room (it drives me nuts) but a bit of understanding how the bench works and it's perfect. The bench is very stable and supportive, the seat comfortable and material easy to clean. I think we finally have a winner after so many failures. This is truly a game changer for showering with safety.

Sliding Shower Chair

I placed this sliding shower chair in the bathroom of my parents, and it has been really satisfying to see the dramatic increase in both their self-assurance and their level of comfort. In the past, getting into and out of the bathtub was a dangerous process that required the assistance of two people. My father would carefully lower himself into the tub, and my mother would support him from behind. Now that the bench is in position, all he has to do is glide over the broad seat, rotate his body through thirty-four degrees, and then ease himself into the water without giving it a second thought. A routine that used to cause tension has been transformed into a smooth and dignified experience just by virtue of its easy mobility. In less than 10 minutes, the transfer bench was installed and ready for use. My dad was sat on the edge of the tub, and I was able to modify the height of the chair such that it properly matched his posture via the use of the adjustable legs that snapped firmly into place. The next step was to fine-tune the arm breadth; each arm was flung outside, snapped into the correct distance, and immediately felt solid beneath his grasp. Because this bench was able to adjust to his body proportions in such a way that gave him the impression that it was constructed just for him, he did not have to struggle with a chair that was designed to accommodate everyone.
